Dr. Springer has performed hundreds of forensic psychiatric evaluations, including independent medical examinations, disability determinations, utilization reviews, return to work and worker’s compensation evaluations. He has been an expert witness in over a hundred cases, including victims of sexual abuse, malpractice and employment issues. Dr. Springer has been deposed many times and also testified in court on a number of occasions, including Federal Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware regarding the psychiatric impact on victims who had been sexually abused by priests from the Diocese of Wilmington. He has worked equally for plaintiff and defense counsel.
Dr. Springer has particular expertise in the area of psychiatric disability, victims of sexual abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder and evaluation of psychiatric damages in a variety of civil cases. He prides himself on being thorough and accurate and giving opinions that are supported by clinical examination and scientific evidence, as well as, doing a careful record review. In addition, Dr. Springer believes that it is vital to have good communication with the referral source, so as to best address the questions being asked.
